Re: SOLUTIONS ON PRESCRIPTION
Hi everyone, I have had a result! I had no problem with getting a prescription from my GP for solutions - in fact she did not query it at all. However, upon trying to get Amidose and Miraflow from the chemist, I was told that they are black-listed by the NHS except from a hospital pharmacy. However,...

Re: SOLUTIONS ON PRESCRIPTION
Sounds like a good idea, Steven. I think anything we can all do to help the campaign must help it on its way. SUE

Re: SOLUTIONS ON PRESCRIPTION
Hi Anne, Thanks for your reply. Its good to hear that there is a campaign under way - there definitely should be! It will be interesting to see the progress.
If there is anyone out there who has managed to obtain Amidose on a GPs prescription, perhaps you could let me know how you managed it. SUE

SOLUTIONS ON PRESCRIPTION
Hi everyone, Not been on the Discussion Forum for a while so hope you are all well. I thought I would let you know my experience in trying to get contact lens solutions on prescription locally in between my appointments at Moorfields. Went along to the Dr and was amazingly surprised when she had no ...

Hi Rosemary, I would like to know what they say about that one - it all gets very frustrating and burocratic, doesn't it. But hey, on the whole, I have generally had excellent service from MEH (other than the wait when you arrive for your appts). Glad to see you are back. Take care and let us know h...

Hi Kirsty, Just wondered how you are getting on with your lenses? Another thought as the rgps are rubbing your corneas - how about piggy-backing, i.e., wearing a soft lens underneath the rgp corneal. Have you tried this yet? Might be worth a go as you seem to be having trouble with sclerals. Let us ...

Hi Meurig, Welcome to the site and sorry to hear you are experiencing problems with contact lens wear. Sounds just like my story! After 25 years of rgp corneals, I could not keep them in for more than about 15 mins! However, I have been wearing sclerals now for about 6 years and find them wonderful ...

Hi Jay, Yep, I have also done piggy-backing under rgp corneals - this only worked on my left eye as the right is too conical and the soft lens kept lifting off at the bottom so I could not put the rgp on top. The comfort and vision was excellent. The only reason I had to give up wearing the rgp corn...
