Hi Folks.
Just a quick update to let you know that I underwent a DALK procedure at Gartnavel Hospital on friday past. The surgeon is pleased with how it went and looking in the mirror his handy work looks amazing, except for some redness it is difficult to see that anything has been done to my eye. There is also a fair degree of 'gritty' type discomort.
The vision from my grafted eye is still very haxy and is probably no better than it was prior to the surgery but it is early days. I keep you all up to date with my progress and if anyone wants to ask any questions please feel free.
Warmest regards.
Paul

Don't be too worried about the vision in your grafted eye. That will take time to recover; right now the important thing is that the graft is healthy and the wound healing.
Every good wish.

Thanks Andrew,
I know things will take time especially with the DALK method, I guess I had been hoping to be one of the very lucky who get a good result right away. But you are correct it will take time and the health of the graft is paramount at the moment.
Like I said above, if anyone has any questions I will be happy to answer them.
Best wishes.
