I've got my second CT scan next month so it'll be interesting to see how far my eyes have deteriorated... I feel the left one hasn't changed much, but the right one has got worse. Taken from my CT scan in November it would seem I am officially moderate in both eyes; 46.6 in my left eye, and 47.5 in my right eye.

I don't know what my micron count is, I must remember to ask in May.

Interesting Steven, thanks for sharing. I wonder if this is a generally accepted scale or one person's assessment? I don't know either of my measurements, will ask next time I'm seen.

From my own personal research I have discovered the curvature of a normal cornea is 44 diopters so not alot of difference between that and mild KC which probably accounts for why people who do have KC will never be/are yet to be diagnosed.

I suspect the majority of diagnosed KCers, like myself, have never been provided with the objective measures - curvature and thickness and not had regular annual topography scans and cornea thickness measurements taken. Your experience Grant appears to confirm that.

I wonder if the 'corneal curvature' refers to the Kmax or the K average?

Either way, for me I would have 'moderate KC' for corneal curvature and 'early KC' for corneal thickness.

According to who international standards you are not legally blind in just one eye, In order to be considered legally blind, someone must have vision of 20/200 (6/60) in his or her best eye with correction, and/or have a visual field that is limited to 20 degrees or less, in contrast with the 180 degree visual field enjoyed by people with healthy eyes. This definition means that it is possible for someone to be able to see and to still be considered blind in the eyes of the law.

Here are a few of my scans from a year or maybe two ago. The right looks fairly dramatic but I get around with my left pretty well (corrected it's near 20/20).
