Running for Keratoconus: Tosin Takes on the London Marathon 2026

We’re delighted to share some exciting news with our members and supporters: we have a runner in the 2026 London Marathon fundraising for the Keratoconus Group.

New member Tosin Adebanjo recently contacted us after successfully securing a place through the marathon ballot and generously asked whether he could run in support of the Keratoconus Group. We’re absolutely thrilled that he chose to do so and incredibly grateful for his commitment.

Tosin’s story

Keratoconus has been part of Tosin’s life for the past 15 years. Like many people living with the condition, he has faced daily challenges – changes in vision, ongoing treatment, and the emotional impact of adapting to something that affects such a fundamental sense as sight. Alongside these difficulties, Tosin speaks powerfully about what the journey has also taught him: resilience, patience, and the importance of both medical care and peer support.

By taking on the London Marathon, Tosin wants to give something back. He’s raising funds to help us continue our work providing trusted information, raising awareness, and supporting people affected by keratoconus so that no one has to face the condition feeling uninformed or alone.

“This marathon is a huge personal challenge for me, but it’s one I’m proud to take on – not just for myself, but for everyone living with keratoconus.”

How you can support Tosin

Running 26.2 miles is no small feat, and Tosin will be training hard in the months ahead. We hope our members and supporters will get behind him, whether by donating, sharing his fundraising page, or cheering him on. Who knows – perhaps we can even organise a Keratoconus Group meet-up somewhere along the route on the day to give him an extra boost.

We’re hugely grateful to Tosin for choosing to run for the Keratoconus Group and wish him the very best with his training and on the big day itself. Thank you to everyone who is able to support him.
